Who will be Real Madrid’s manager in 2024?

Real Madrid have to already start thinking about Carlo Ancelotti's replacement as he will become the Brazil manager in 2024

(Football news) Carlo Ancelotti’s second spell at Real Madrid has been very successful as he has won every possible trophy. However, in 2024 his contract is ending and it has been clear for a while that Real Madrid will not be extending it. Brazil has wanted Carlo Ancelotti since Tite left after the 2022 World Cup. There has been a constant back and forth but Carlo Ancelotti has always said that he will fulfill his contract at Real Madrid. Now Ednaldo Rodrigues, President of the Brazilian Confederation, has confirmed that he will take over in June 2024 after his contract at Real Madrid runs out.

Now the question for Real Madrid is who will be his replacement. Los Blancos could pull something unexpected out of the bag to lure Jurgen Klopp, Thomas Tuchel, or Massimiliano Allegri but that is unlikely as the two firm candidates are former players Raul and Xabi Alonso. Both of them will definitely be very keen on taking the job having achieved so much as a player for the Merengues. Raul is currently managing the B team and he has been doing an incredible job. The Spaniard has even rejected a few first-team opportunities elsewhere to continue in Madrid.

Logically, Real Madrid as your first-ever managing job isn’t likely but it has been successfully done by Zinedine Zidane before. Xabi Alonso on the other hand has been doing an amazing job at Bayer Leverkusen. He led them to the Europa League semi-final and a 6th place finish in the Bundesliga. Alonso was a brilliant player for Madrid and at this moment in time, he looks like the best available option for the manager’s post. His contract with Leverkusen ends in 2024 and he has already refused to sign a new deal presumably because of the opportunity to manage Los Blancos.
