Inter Miami and Los Angeles FC faced off in the Concacaf Champions Cup quarterfinals on April 10 in an exciting contest.  After a strange incident overshadowed Miami’s victory, this match, which they won 3-1 courtesy to two incredible goals from Lionel Messi, has had a significant impact.

 With LAFC drawing first blood just ten minutes into the encounter, the contest got off to a fierce start.  The Florida squad secured the vital away goals that count twice in this tournament format, but Miami showed persistence and managed to turn the game around in an exciting spectacle.

Star players Messi, Luis Suárez, and Jordi Alba were part of the squad, which was coached by Javier Mascherano. Sergio Busquets was suspended.  However, the match’s main focus was a startling altercation between Suárez and Alba.

The Uruguayan forward’s antics are not the first time supporters have witnessed them.  He was suspended for four months in 2014 for biting Giorgio Chiellini during the Italy vs. Uruguay World Cup match, and he was banned for ten games in 2013 for biting Branislav Ivanovic during a Liverpool vs. Chelsea encounter.  Suárez’s attitude on the field is called into doubt by his history of such occurrences.
