Arsenal’s Summer Targets Revealed

The football team Arsenal will not accept second-best.  The London team is already planning to bolster its roster for the forthcoming summer transfer window as they get closer to finishing as the Premier League’s runners-up and continue their Champions League campaign, in which they have pushed Real Madrid on the ropes.

The sources that are now available indicate that Andrea Berta, Arsenal’s new sports director, has carefully examined the present team and determined three crucial areas that require additions.  To improve their attacking options, the Gunners are concentrating on adding a backup goalkeeper, a central midfielder—possibly two—and a prolific striker.

Arsenal may also think about bolstering their defensive lineup, although any changes in this area will be contingent on the departure of some players.  In particular, they won’t look to sign a new center-back until they have let go of Polish defender Jakub Kiwior.  Regarding possible targets, rumors suggest that Dean Huijsen of Bournemouth is deemed too costly, while Jorrel Hato of Ajax Amsterdam is viewed as the main choice.

One name has come up in discussions about the goalkeeping position: Joan García, who is playing well for Espayol this season.  But because of the intense rivalry for this job, Berta is starting to look at a number of options to make sure they find the best fit for their big plans.
