(Football News) Ever since Ryan Mason took charge of Tottenham Hotspur as an interim manager, their results have been pretty decent. Spurs came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 against Manchester United. They then came back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 at Liverpool but ended up conceding in the last minute to lose 4-3. Last weekend Tottenham Hotspur defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 to take a massive step towards Europa League qualification. Now they take on 8th placed Aston Villa to try and solidify their 6th spot as Liverpool and Manchester United are almost guaranteed to finish 4th and 5th.
Tottenham Hotspur are still missing long-term absentees Hugo Lloris, Ryan Sessegnon, and Rodrigo Bentancur. Yves Bissouma was an unused substitute against Crystal Palace and could play in this game. Clement Lenglet came off due to a knock against Palace but the problem isn’t serious and he should be fit to play. As for Aston Villa, Jed Steer is the only absentee as Matty Cash has recovered from his injury. Villa are coming into the game on the back of two back-to-back losses and they desperately need a win to get back in the race for European spots.
