FIFA President Gianni Infantino has discussed the 2025 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in Morocco and be the first to include 24 teams.
The FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup will take place in Morocco, a football-loving country, from October 17 to November 8, 2025. The FIFA chief stated on his Instagram account, “It will be a great chance for young players to shine on the global FIFA stage.”
In March 2024, the U17 Women’s World Cup’s international governing board, under Infantino’s leadership, announced that Morocco would host the competition for the following five years.
Beginning with the 2025 edition, the event will now take place annually and have grown to 24 participants. As a result, the Kingdom will host the U17 Women’s World Cup for the first time in African history from 2025 to 2029.
This will be the U17 Women’s World Cup’s ninth edition. In 2008, New Zealand hosted the competition, which was followed by Trinidad and Tobago in 2010, Azerbaijan in 2012, Costa Rica in 2014, Jordan in 2016, Uruguay in 2018, India in 2022, and the Dominican Republic in 2024.
