Paulo Dybala pens emotional letter confirming surprising Juventus exit

(Football news) Paulo Dybala in a heartfelt letter announced that he will be leaving Juventus at the end of the season when his current contract expires. Apart from thanking the fans and reminiscing the memories, the Argentine said that he thought he would be staying at the club for much longer but fate had other plans. Juventus' next game against Lazio will be Dybala's last home game as a Juventus player.

"It is difficult to find the right words to greet you," Dybala told fans in a statement posted to his social media channels. "There are so many years and so many emotions involved altogether. I thought we would be together [for] even more years, but fate puts us on different paths. I will never forget everything you made me experience, every game, every goal. With you, I grew up, I learned, I lived and I dreamed. It has been seven years of magic, 12 trophies and 115 goals that no one will take away from us, never.

"Thank you for supporting me in difficult times. Thanks to those who have accompanied me over the years, from the first to the last, from the fans to the people who work within the club, everyone, [from] coaches and teammates, employees and managers. Wearing this important jersey together with the captain's armband has been one of the greatest [moments of] pride of my life, which I hope to show to my children and grandchildren someday. Tomorrow will be my last match with this shirt. It's hard to imagine, but it will be our last farewell. It will not be easy, but I will enter the field with a smile and with my head held high, knowing that I have given everything for you."

Dybala joined Juventus from Palermo at the age of 22. In his 7 years at the club the forward has won a total of 12 trophies. He was an integral part of the Juventus team that dominated the Serie A and played in the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League final. Dybala's form has significantly dropped in the past couple of seasons and his recurring injury issues haven't helped either. It is surprising that Juventus have decided to let Dybala go that easily because he is a player adored by the fans. Dybala is just 28 years of age and still has so much to offer but unfortunately for the Bianconeri fans it will be for some other club.

As of now there is no club which is the front runner for Dybala's signature. Clubs in England, Germany and Spain are said to be interested in the Argentine but Inter Milan seems to be the most feasible option. The player is used to the league and Inter Milan are currently much ahead of Juventus in terms of progress. The people of Turin might not be too happy with the move but considering the circumstances it is most suitable for the player. Juventus also sold Dejan Kulusevski to Tottenham Hotspur which means that they will need reinforcements despite the arrival of Dusam Vlahovic. The Italian club is said to be in talks with Paul Pogba who will also be available for free but they definitely need more attackers next season.
