Wilfried Zaha close to joining Galatasaray

(Football news) Zaha, a free agent after his contract at Selhurst Park expired earlier this summer, is close to signing a three-year agreement with Galatasaray. Along with a four-year contract from Crystal Palace, where Zaha had been practising to keep fit, he also got bids from Laxio, Henerbahce, and Al Nassr.

Three other Champions League teams, including Atletico Madrid, have also contacted his representatives. Zaha has spent the entirety of his career at the London club Selhurst Park, despite persistent rumours that he could leave Selhurst Park in recent years.In 458 games across all competitions, he has 90 goals and 76 assists.

The former Manchester United man is heard on the video saying: “Hello Gala fans, just want to say I’m on my way. Can’t wait to see you soon.”

Galatasaray hopes that Wilfied will assist them in advancing beyond the Champions League qualification rounds and into the main competition for this season.

A club statement on Sunday read: “Official negotiations have started with the football player regarding the transfer of professional football player Dazet Wilfried Armel Zaha to our club.”

Wilfried Zaha, who made his debut in 2017, has also received 31 caps for Ivory Coast. Before transferring his international allegiance, he competed for England at the junior level and earned two appearances for their senior team.
