(Football news) In order to explore the probable transition, a representative of the Roof agency which represents Sadio Mane met Goran Vucevic, the sporting director of Al Nassr, at the Pine Cliffs hotel in Portugal.

Mane, 31, only moved to Bayern last summer after leaving Liverpool for $45 million and a £35 million contract. Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan and Seko Fofana from Lens have already been signed by Al Nassr, the club Cristiano Ronaldo joined from Manchester United in December. They also hope to finalise a deal for Alex Telles, a United fullback.

For Bayern, Mane had a lacklustre season, scoring just seven goals in 25 Bundesliga games. Due to a leg injury he suffered in November, he also missed many Bayern games as well as the World Cup in Qatar.

Following a fight with teammate Leroy Sane in April, Mane was also given a suspension and fine by Bayern. The Senegal captain played for Bayern in their 27-0 victory over FC Rottach-Egern, an amateur team, earlier this week.

Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel was asked about Mane’s future and form ahead of their pre-season. He said, “(Mane) fell short of expectations. The competitive situation is extremely high, the starting position is not easy for him. The player knows that too, he knows my opinion and the opinion of the club.”

Al Ittihad, Al Ahli, and Al Hilal were the other three Saudi Arabian clubs that the country’s Public Investment Fund acquired last month in addition to Al Nassr. Karim Benzema, Ruben Neves, and N’Golo Kante are among the European football talents who have moved to the Gulf state as a result of such investment.
