(Cricket news) The T20 League’s 999th match will take place, and MS Dhoni’s team will be looking to bounce back after suffering a significant loss in Jaipur.

In their previous match, Punjab Kings lost badly to Lucknow Super Giants at home in a high-scoring game after captain Shikhar Dhawan’s return.

Sanjay Manjrekar, a former cricketer for India, lauded Dhoni for his management of both his teammates and himself given that his knee ailment seems to be bothering him nonstop.

All-rounder Shivam Dube’s form at the plate is another significant plus for CSK. In this TATA IPL, the towering left-handed batter has been enjoying belting sixes, and former India cricketer Ravi Shastri seemed to be in awe of the Mumbai native.

Speaking on Star Sports’ Cricket Live, Ravi Shastri said, “Shivam Dube has range and power. He’s tall and he can easily hit sixes just by standing in his place, which makes him a dangerous batter. He’s been given the license from the skipper to just go out there and explode.”

The updated Ajinkya Rahane is yet another significant advantage for Chennai Super Kings in the TATA IPL 2023. The senior Indian cricketer’s ability to express himself freely at CSK has worked wonders for both him and the team.

Aaron Finch, a former cricketer for Australia, believes Rahane is benefiting from the confidence skipper Dhoni and coach Stephen Fleming showed in him.

Speaking on Star Sports’ Cricket Live, Aaron Finch said, “Ajinkya Rahane got the freedom at CSK. After a poor run last year, he might have thought his IPL career was done. But then he got another opportunity after CSK picked him up. He got that unexpected opportunity with MS Dhoni and Stephen Fleming tapping on his shoulders and saying ‘you are playing’ go and have some fun, express yourself.”
