Real Madrid host Levante, Atletico Madrid play away at Elche

(Football news) Barcelona's win against Celta Vigo yesterday almost confirmed the top four of the league and its order. It is now unlikely that any of the top 4 positions will change. It has been a really one sided La Liga season in terms of the title race but an entertaining one nevertheless. The top teams will now be playing without any pressure which could produce free flowing and entertaining football.

Real Madrid have already won the La Liga title and as Carlo Ancelotti said, they will be heavily rotating for the remaining 3 games before the UCL final. They will be hosting Levante who are in a relegation battle. Dani Carvajal and Karim Benzema who didn't play a single minute in the El Derbi are expected to start the game along with Fede Valverde, Ferland Mendy, Vinicius Jr and Luka Modric who came on as substitutes. Eden Hazard is back in training but is unlikely to get minutes as it is too soon. Marcelo, David Alaba, Dani Ceballos, Isco and Bale are still injured while Thibaut Courtois is out with gastroenteritis.

Atletico Madrid got a very important 1-0 win against Real Madrid on the weekend. They are now in a very strong position to finish in the top 4. They will travel to Elche where a win would take them 6 points clear of Real Betis. Joao Felix and Thomas Lemar remain unavailable while Reinildo is out of contention after suffering an injury against Madrid. Marcos Llorente is suspended after picking up a yellow card against Los Blancos. Elche are really comfortable on 14th position but they will be looking for a result against the Rojiblancos. Atleti have an outside chance of finishing in the 2nd spot which would secure their place in the Spanish Super Cup.
