Liverpool look to keep the pressure on Manchester United in the top 4 race

Liverpool take on relegation threatened Leicester City to try and stay in the top 4 race
Liverpool

(Football news) After a poor season Liverpool have turned it up in the final stretch. The Merseyside club have won their last 6 games in the Premier League and are making a late dash for the top 4. Manchester United are still the favorites to finish 4th as they are 4 points ahead of Liverpool but things can change. The Reds need to win all their games and their next one is against Leicester who are fighting for survival. A win would take the Foxes out of the relegation zone which will be crucial at this stage. A win against an in-form Liverpool side will also be a big confidence booster for the remaining games.

Roberto Firmino and Naby Keita who are both set to leave Liverpool in the summer are still injured. The duo will be racing against time to play one more time for the club. Stefan Bajcetic, Calvin Ramsay and Thiago Alcantara are still out of contention due to their injuries. It will be interesting to see what system Klopp goes with. He played a 4-2-3-1 with Cody Gakpo as a number 10 in the last game and may do the same again. As for Leicester City Ryan Bertrand, James Justin, Jannik Vestergaard and Kelechi Iheanacho are all injured. Jonny Evans who returned to the bench last weekend could return to the starting line-up.

Liverpool are looking very strong right now and if it will be a big achievement to finish in the top 4 considering where they were a month ago. There are signs that with a few signings in the summer Liverpool will be back to their best next season. Leicester have to put everything into trying and stay up. This period in the top has been successful with a Premier League trophy and an FA Cup. A relegation at this point could turn out to be a disaster and it could take them a while to get promoted again.
