Leicester will play Millwall in FA Cup

Leaders of the Runaway Championship When Leicester City plays an in-form Millwall at the Den on Saturday afternoon, they'll be looking to secure their place in the FA Cup's fourth round

(Football news) In their most recent game in the second tier, Millwall defeated Bristol City 1-0, while the visitors came into this match fresh off a 4-1 victory over Huddersfield Town on New Year’s Day.  In a 1-0 victory over Bristol City on New Year’s Day, Millwall extended their Championship unbeaten streak to five games. Shaun Hutchinson scored the game’s only goal in the closing moments.

The last three games saw the Lions defeat Queens Park Rangers, Norwich City, and Bristol City. Prior to that, they drew with Stoke City and Huddersfield. This impressive run of results has propelled the team into 15th place in the standings with 32 points, ten points above the relegation zone.

Although Millwall’s most recent defeat came at the hands of Leicester, a 3-2 loss at the King Power Stadium in mid-December, this encounter will feel different because both managers will probably rest some key players because the league is undoubtedly more important.

The London team has never won the FA Cup, however they are well-known for making it to the championship game in 2003–04 and losing to Manchester United 3-0 in that match in Cardiff.

In the meantime, Millwall has dropped their last three games in this competition and has been eliminated by Sheffield United and Crystal Palace in the third round of the previous two seasons.

Leicester’s team is so good that it is not surprising to see them at the top of the Championship table; the Foxes are by far the finest team in the league this season.

It would be surprising if Enzo Maresca’s team did not return to the Premier League the following season after winning 21, drawing 2, and losing three of their 26 league games to accumulate 65 points. This puts them 10 points ahead of Southampton in third place and 13 ahead of Ipswich Town in second.
