Anirban Lahiri finishes 42nd as Xander Schauffele wins Olympic men’s golf tournament

(Golf news) Olympic 2021 Live Update: Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri finished in 42nd place at the Kasumigaseki Country Club while countryman Udayan Mane finished 56th at the Tokyo Olympics. Meanwhile, 27 year old American golfer Xander Schauffele won the gold medal with a 4-under 67 in Sunday's final round to finish 18-under-par for the tournament.

Due to positive COVID-19 test results, the 60-man field for the Tokyo Olympics became diluted and players such as Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm could not feature in the biggest sporting tournament of them all. Meanwhile, Rory Sabbatini of Slovakia finished in 2nd place to win the silver medal to cap up Round 4 of Men’s Individual on Sunday, 1st August.
