(Football news) Bukayo Saka has officially signed a new contract with Arsenal which will run till 2027. The Gunners are securing their future having already renewed Aaron Ramsdale’s contract till 2028 a few days ago. Despite the drop off towards the end, Arsenal have had a decent campaign in the League. It is a massive improvement from last season where they finished 5th. Saka has been a big part of that scoring 14 goals and assisting 11 goals in all competitions this season. His form in the past month or so has dropped drastically but he is still just 21 years of age and has a lot to improve on.

Bukayo Saka has already achieved a lot of success at Arsenal and with England. However now with this new contract he will be eyeing to do bigger things. Saka has shown the potential to become world class but he isn’t world class just yet. Next season Arsenal will be in the Champions League and that will be a massive test for this young side. After Saka, Arsenal are also planning to renew captain Martin Odegaard’s contract. Granit Xhaka is leaving the club to join Bayer Leverkusen and Arsenal are targeting West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.

The next renewal on Arsenal’s agenda would be that of William Saliba. The defender is currently injured but before that he was a rock at the back. Saliba’s current contract runs out in 2024 but Arsenal do have an option to trigger a one year extension. However the Gunners will be keen to agree on a new long term contract soon. Now that Saka’s renewal is taken care of Arsenal can now focus on incoming transfers. Now with the Champions League next season they will need reinforcements in all areas.
