Bellerín Returns, García Takes Charge

For Real Betis’ next game against Las Palmas at Benito Villamarín Stadium, Héctor Bellerín will rejoin the team.  The right-back is keen to get some playing time in order to rediscover his competitive rhythm after missing almost four months due to injury.  During his press conference, manager Manuel Pellegrini stated that the Catalan player is prepared to contend for a slot with Youssouf Sabaly and Aitor Ruibal.  The coach has been dealing with the loss of a first-team player in this role for weeks, so this news is important since it gives him three possibilities.

Pablo García is another name to keep an eye on in this match.  The academy product is in the squad as a forward when necessary and has shown outstanding scoring skills, especially with the Youth League youth team.  Due to Chimy Ávila’s suspension from both La Liga and the Conference League, García may be able to sit on the bench while he waits for his opportunity.  It should be mentioned that Cucho Hernández is not a Conference League player, and Bakambu ended the last game with a knock.

William Carvalho and Marc Roca, two players who hope to return to action after the international break, will have to wait.  In order to improve his midfield performance during this crucial stage of the season, Pellegrini may need these two additions.  For the league encounter against Las Palmas, Johnny Cardoso, who asked to be substituted in the match against Vitoria, is healthy and included in the team.
