Bayern’s Transfer Twist Ahead

The multimillion renewals of certain key players have significantly reduced Bayern Munich’s economic buffer, thus the team is preparing for big moves.  Thomas Müller will likely be in the spotlight as the German powerhouses negotiate a tumultuous transfer market in the upcoming months, especially with the possible exits of multiple stars.  But the seasoned forward isn’t the only well-known figure being investigated.

The 26-year-old French international Dayot Upamecano, who has excelled in center defense, may be leaving the Bavarian powerhouse, according to recent rumors from Germany.  Although Upamecano’s contract is set to expire on June 30, 2026, there are signs that his future with the team may be in jeopardy.

“Bild” has noted that talks to extend the defender’s contract have come to a standstill.  Given that his demands for renewal (15 million euros a season, plus bonuses) seem like a number the organization is unlikely to meet, the club may consider selling him next summer.
