(Cricket News) David Warner has revealed plans to publish his autobiography, promising that it will capture attention and spark interest. During an interview on the Prairie Club Fire podcast with Adam Gilchrist and former England captain Michael Vaughan, Warner stated that his upcoming book would be an “interesting read.”
Acknowledging the anticipated controversy, Warner mentioned, “There’s going to be a lot of things in that book that I think are going to raise some eyebrows.” He noted that the sandpaper-gate controversy would be extensively covered, emphasizing the importance of moving forward for the Australian cricket team.
Reflecting on his decision to retire from Test and ODI cricket, Warner expressed his intention to continue playing T20 cricket. He discussed potential successors as openers and endorsed Marcus Harris, while also suggesting that Steve Smith could adapt to the new role.
Regarding the content of his autobiography, David highlighted various aspects of his journey, including the Joe Root saga, experiences in Zimbabwe, and personal stories. He emphasized that the book would offer insights into his upbringing and career, making it an intriguing read when released.
Warner concluded by acknowledging the challenges and speculation surrounding certain events, stating, “It’ll be an interesting read when the time comes, we can all pick it to pieces.”
