Manchester City Vs Bayern Munich to headline UCL last 8 fixtures

(Football news) UEFA Champions League(UCL) 2022/23 quarter finals draw has been completed and it has a lot of mouth watering fixtures.

Manchester City Vs Bayern Munich:

The big game for this round is between two teams that have dominated their respective leagues. The two teams have played in the Champions League six times before, all in the group stages. This is the 1st time they will go head to head in a knockout game. Pep Guardiola is likely to receive a very big welcome at the Allianz Arena having won so many trophies there. Manchester City are coming into the game after beating RB Leipzig 8-1 while Bayern Munich have already beaten a big club in the Round of 16 as they got the better of PSG.

Real Madrid Vs Chelsea

Just like last year’s quarter final these two sides will meet again. Chelsea came back from a 1-0 away defeat to win the tie against Borussia Dortmund in the Round of 16. Real Madrid on the other hand got a convincing 6-2 win against Liverpool. This is the 3rd consecutive season where these two teams are meeting in the UCL knockouts and they have won 1 each. Chelsea are now a different team under Graham Potter while Real Madrid are still under Carlo Ancelotti.

Benfica Vs Inter Milan

Benfica are in the quarter finals of the UCL for the 2nd season in a row. They got a comfortable 7-1 aggregate win over Club Brugge in the Round of 16. Inter Milan are in the quarter finals for the first time since 2011. The Nerazzurri narrowly defeated Porto 1-0 to make it to the last 8. They will be looking to go deep into the competition this time. The only time these two teams have faced each other in the UCL was in the 1964/65 final where Inter won.

AC Milan Vs Napoli

The defending Serie A champions and the current Serie A league leaders will lock horns in the quarter finals. The two sides have never met in the UCL before. Napoli beat Eintracht Frankfurt 5-0 to reach the quarters for the first time ever. AC Milan on the other hand beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0. This is their 1st ever UCL quarter final appearance since 2012.
