Tottenham Hotspur look to bounce back against Nottingham Forest

After a dreadful couple of weeks Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to bounce back to keep their 4th place

(Football news) Tottenham Hotspur have lost 2 and drawn 1 of their last 3 games which resulted in them being knocked out of the FA Cup and Champions League. Now the top 4 is all they have left to play for as it will be another trophyless season for Tottenham Hotspur. Now they face 14th placed Nottingham Forest where a win will keep Spurs in 4th but a loss could see them drop to 5th. Forrest are winless in their 4 games and they will be looking for a win against a Tottenham Hotspur side that is very low on confidence.

Long term absentees Yves Bissouma, Rodrigo Bentancur, Hugo Lloris and Ryan Sessegnon are still out. Ivan Perisic, Emerson Royal and Christian Romero all suffered knocks midweek and their availability is doubtful. Eric Dier who was suspended in the Champions League game will be back into the line-up. Nottingham Forest on the other hand have a long list of absentees. Taiwo Awoniyi, Dean Henderson, Willy Boly, Moussa Niakhate, Scott McKenna, Omar Richards, Cheikhou Kouyate and Giulian Biancone are all unavailable.

Tottenham Hotspur have struggled to create goal scoring chances and a lot of that has to do with Antonio Conte’s tactics. On top of that, last year’s golden boot winner Heung-Min Son is having a torrid season. Players like Richarlison and Arnaut Danjuma are not getting much game time while injuries are also affecting Tottenham. They still have a good chance of making it to the top 4 but they will have to play much better than they have in these past few weeks.
