(Cricket news) As we all are exhilarated to know about the two teams which are going to be part of World Cup 2023, the group stage has now carried onto the Super-six, and here are some of the glorifying moments you might have missed so far. Wanindu Hassaranga’s spectacular performance with the ball against Ireland:

Hasaranga became the joint record holder for taking the most consecutive five-wicket haul in One Day Internationals and equals the record of Waqar Younis. He gathered up the crucial wickets of Ireland’s Andrew Balbirnie, Harry Tector, Gareth Delany, Mark Adair, and Joshua Little to finish with magnificent figures of 5/79 in ICC World Cup Qualifiers.

Earlier in the match, Sri Lanka posted an imposing target of 325 runs, because of a brilliant 103-run knock by Dimuth Karunaratne supported by Sadeera Samarawickrama’s quick-fire 82. Dhananjaya de Silva also demonstrated his steadiness and understood the situation well and did his part in the latter half of the innings when he added 42 runs to the score.

McMullen’s spectacular 136-run innings, helped Scotland’s side post a demanding total of 320 runs against Oman who in turn couldn’t give a response with respect to the target and didn’t really come close to chasing it down. With the help of that win, Scotland entered into the Super-six stage advancing with 2 points with them in the race of ICC World Cup Qualifiers.

Stand-in captain for Zimbabwe, Sean Williams slammed a glorious 174 runs off 101 balls to guide Zimbabwe to a mammoth 304-run victory over USA in their Group A match of Men’s ODI World Cup Qualifiers.

He has been in great form throughout the tournament and has also been giving a subtle contribution with the ball too. He is making his name as a pure all-rounder for his team in the qualifiers which has helped Zimbabwe to comfortably qualify for the Super-six stage and likely to carry 4 points.

Sharp tons from Craig Ervine and Sean Williams helped Zimbabwe to an eight-wicket win over Nepal in the opening encounter of the World Cup Qualifier. Chasing down the target of 291 runs, Zimbabwe won with 35 balls remaining in the second innings and inaugurated their tournament with a brilliant contribution from all the 11 players on the field and get onto the other upcoming matches with confidence.

Netherlands spectacular player Logan van Beek dominated both with the bat and ball in the Super Over in the World Cup Qualifier match against West Indies as the Dutch walked away with a notable triumph. 

Logan completely starred in the match as his outstanding performance in the super-over handed over a comfortable victory to the Netherlands which helped them to qualify for the Super-six and also gave two-time World Cup  Champions a heart-break and trashed them out of the league.
