Brett Lee, JioCinema TATA IPL expert, on Dhruv Jurel – “Dhruv Jurel a quality batter, he’s got proper cricket shots. Dhruv Jurel can play all formats of the game and knows when to go through the gears as needed. His shots are classy and have the power to go towards the cow corner. He shows his class and continues to grow in stature.”

Lee on the opening partnership between Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal – “The first wicket partnership, you can see, 60 off 35. When you’ve got someone like Jos Buttler, who likes to be aggressive, and Jaiswal on the other end, they complement each other beautifully. A left-hand and right-hand combination. The great thing about the Rajasthan Royals is that they’ve got the combination at the top of the order and also with the ball. They complement each other beautifully.”

Graeme Smith, JioCinema TATA IPL expert, on Sanju Samson and KL Rahul – “They needed to stem the flow, get a rhythm going, and build a partnership. Rahul did it with Hooda and Sanju did it beautifully with Dhruv Jurel. The difference was that Sanju finished the game, while KL got out at a key phase. It was brilliant to see both excellent players put their hands up for World Cup selection.”

Smith on Jurel and Samson’s partnership – “In the end, the run-chase looked easy. Dhruv Jurel and Sanju Samson had an incredible partnership to get them over the line. At one point, they got themselves in trouble, so it shows they didn’t take it easy. They had Shepherd and Hetmyer still to bat, so there was a lot in the tank, lots of match-winners with the bat and ball. That squad is looking very strong. You wonder now as they get closer to qualification, if they’ll start to give one or two other players some opportunities.”
