Sri Lankan cricketers Binura Fernando and Chamika Karunaratne, who were part of a 22 member pool training for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour of West Indies to take part in a limited over series, have tested positive for Covid-19. According to a press release sent by Sri Lanka Cricket, the duo was found to be positive after a PCR test was carried out on 20th January and were immediately directed to follow the protocols laid out by the government. The PCR Test was conducted after the squad started training at the SSC Grounds on 18th January. As part of a routine testing process, the rest of the squad will once again undergo a PCR Test on 26th January.
