Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Al-Hilal closer than ever

(Football news) Serb player Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is available for a rumoured value of over 40 million euros and Serie A team Lazio has expressed interest in selling him to Al Hilal. Savic, who was being pursued by clubs like Juventus, Arsenal, and Inter, will decide to forego playing in the Champions League if the rumoured transfer takes place.

Serb player Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is available for a rumoured value of over 40 million euros and Serie A team Lazio has expressed interest in selling him to Al Hilal. Savic, who was being pursued by clubs like Juventus, Arsenal, and Inter, will decide to forego playing in the Champions League if the rumoured transfer takes place.

Savic will now become the third significant European acquisition for the Saudi team, joining names like Ruben Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly. The Lazio player has been a key component of Lazio’s success in recent years. Last season, he scored 9 goals and provided 8 assists to help the Biancocelesti finish second in Serie A and qualify for the Champions League the following year.

The Serbian has developed into a highly effective advanced playmaker since joining Lazio in 2015, and he is now capable of controlling the game from box to box thanks to his physicality and tactical acumen.

Savic will now become the Saudi team’s third significant European move, after stars like Ruben Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly. The Lazio player has been a key component of Lazio’s success in recent years, scoring 9 goals and dishing out 8 assists as the Biancocelesti finished second in Serie A to earn a Champions League position for the upcoming season.

The Serbian has developed into a highly effective advanced playmaker since joining Lazio in 2015, and his physicality and technical acumen allow him to control the field from box to box. Following his outstanding season with Lazio in 2021–2022, a number of clubs, including Manchester United, Arsenal, and Real Madrid, have expressed interest in signing him.

Savic, whose contract has one year left, had previously stated his willingness to take on a fresh challenge. Lazio has also demonstrated that they are open to the prospect of allowing Savic leave because they have their sights set on Piotr Zielinski from Napoli, who would be the ideal replacement for Savic should he decide to leave.
