(Football News) Richarlison, the forward for Tottenham Hotspur who has been struggling with form, expressed his intention to seek psychological assistance upon returning to England. This decision came after he was seen shedding tears when he was substituted during Brazil’s dominating 5-1 victory over Bolivia last Friday in a 2026 World Cup qualifier held in Belem.

Richarlison, who has managed just four goals in 40 appearances for his Premier League club, shared with Brazilian newspaper O Globo that he had experienced a tumultuous period off the field over the past five months, but he now believes that the difficulties have subsided. He remarked, “Now things are settling at home. Those who were solely interested in my finances have distanced themselves from me.” He further added, “Now, I anticipate that things will start to flow, and I am confident that I will regain my form at Tottenham and make an impact once more.”

Looking ahead, Richarlison disclosed his intention to return to England and seek psychological assistance from a professional psychologist to address his mental well-being and come back even stronger.

Tottenham, now led by new manager Ange Postecoglou, currently occupies the second position in the Premier League standings. Despite Richarlison’s challenges in finding the back of the net, the Australian manager expressed his support for the player, who was acquired from Everton last year for a reported sum of £60 million, including additional payments, and believes in his ability to become a consistent goal scorer.
