Real Madrid set to make 4 signings in the summer

After a mediocre season, Real Madrid will be looking to bounce back for which they need reinforcements

(Football news) Real Madrid’s season ended with a humiliating 4-0 loss to Manchester City. This season they won the Copa Del Rey, Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup and reached the Champions League semi final. However they lost the league to Barcelona without putting up a decent title challenge.

A lot of Real Madrid’s struggles have been because of injuries to players who don’t have a proper back up. The depth needs to be addressed next season so that they can cope up with the busy schedule. Carlo Ancelotti is set to stay for the next season partly because there is no other proper candidate available in the market.

Real Madrid have a lot of players whose contracts are up next season. Toni Kroos and Luka Modric have reportedly already signed a 1 year extention however next season their game time is likely to be reduced. Karim Benzema has had an Injury prone season and despite scoring 29 goals it is clear that he is declining.

Real Madrid won’t let him go just yet but they do need a good back-up. Nacho, Dani Ceballos and Marco Asensio all reportedly have an extension offer but they are all yet to accept it due to their restricted game time.

The major problem this season has been at left back. Ferland Mendy has missed the majority of the season due to injury and Real Madrid didn’t have another natural left back. David Alaba isn’t comfortable at that position so they had to play Eduardo Camavinga. Even though the Frenchman did exceedingly well, he is much better in midfield and has to start playing there next season. The deal to bring back Fran Garcia is only missing an official announcement. Garcia will be an excellent acquisition as he is already one of the best left backs in the league and is an academy graduate who knows the club.

It won’t be enough if Real Madrid are to sell Ferland Mendy as rumored. Los Blancos will need a world class replacement. Alfonso Davies is reportedly on the list but Bayern Munich insist that he is not for sale. The other option is Joao Cancelo whose loan spell at Bayern Munich from Manchester City is ending. He is possibly the best option as he can play left back and right back.

Dani Carvajal has a decent back-up in the form of Lucas Vazquez but there isn’t really a competition as Carvajal is way superior in quality. Cancelo will bring in competition for Carvajal at right back while he’ll also be an option at left back. If Real Madrid do not sign him then a competition for Dani Carvajal would be ideal.

According to reports Jude Bellingham’s arrival is imminent. That will mean that Real Madrid’s midfield is sorted for the present and future. Apart from that Real Madrid really need a back up striker to give some competition to Karim Benzema. There are options like Harry Kane, Dusan Vlahovic, Victor Osimhen and Goncalo Ramos but all of them will be expensive. One guy who is on the list is Joselu who is a former academy player. He will be a cheap option who wouldn’t mind being 2nd choice. He has been playing well for Espanyol and is a hard worker which is every manager’s dream.

Jude Bellingham and Fran Garcia are very likely to come while with the rest it remains to be seen. If Real Madrid let go of any of Dani Ceballos, Nacho and Marco Asensio then there will have to be replacements. Brahim Diaz’s loan to AC Milan is ending so he will comeback which gives Real Madrid a much needed left footed player who can play in midfield and on the right wing. There is also a chance that Madrid sells him to generate revenue and use it to reinforce other positions.
