Shaheen Afridi, in particular, has committed to play for the Desert Vipers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) ILT20, while Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Wasim Jr. have all signed with teams in the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

The tenth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and the second edition of ILT20 are scheduled to begin on January 19, 2024. Rizwan will represent the Comilla Victorians, Babar Azam is ready to don the jersey of the Rangpur Riders, and Mohammad Wasim Jr. is ready to represent the Khulna Tigers.

Sources within the PCB have disclosed that Fakhar Zaman and Azam Khan are currently awaiting approval for their league participation. The PCB is carefully evaluating each case individually, highlighting the meticulous approach to assessing permissions for national cricketers.
