(Football news) After a 1-0 friendly win over AC Milan in Las Vegas on Tuesday, FC Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernandez slammed Ousmane Dembele’s impending move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Several reports have strongly linked Dembele to a move to the Ligue 1 champions since Sunday, but the player still travelled from Dallas to Vegas with the 32-man squad currently in the United States on a preseason tour that concluded at the Allegiant Stadium.

Barcelona are apparently interested in ex-Chelsea player Joao Felix as a possible replacement for Ousmane Dembele, who is closing in on a move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Felix, 23, has been mentioned as a possible departure for Atletico Madrid for some time. He has been attempting to push a transfer away since a squabble with his manager, Diego Simeone, early this year.

After failing to secure a permanent move away from Atletico Madrid in January, the forward joined Chelsea on a season-long loan last season. In 20 appearances for the west London club, he scored four goals.

According to Fichajes, the La Liga club has identified Felix as a possible replacement for Dembele, who is scheduled to leave this summer. They are reportedly interested in signing the Portuguese forward on a season-long loan with an option to buy next summer.

If the 31-cap Portugal international joins the Blaugrana, he may be a fantastic signing. On both the left and right flanks, he would compete with Raphinha, Ansu Fati, and Ferran Torres.

Since joining Atletico Madrid from Benfica for €126 million in 2019, the ex-Chelsea man has helped them win La Liga. In 131 appearances for his squad, he has scored 34 goals and contributed 18 assists.

Felix, whose contract expires in June 2027, has recently been linked with Barcelona, Manchester United, PSG, and even Aston Villa. He intends to depart Los Rojiblancos as soon as possible due to a breakdown in the professional relationship of the participating duo.

The Portuguese was rumoured to have agreed a permanent move to Chelsea before the end of the 2022-23 season. However, due to the player’s poor performances last season and the hiring of Mauricio Pochettino as Chelsea manager, a potential deal fell through.
