(Football news) Last summer, Milan Skriniar was set to join the Ligue 1 winners, but Inter at the time prevented his transfer to Paris. Skriniar had back surgery last season and missed a lot of time due to it. Although he was selected for Inter’s team to face Manchester City in the Champions League final, he did not play.

Milan Skriniar, a 28-year-old who was a player for Inter, won the 2021 Serie A championship, two Italian Cups, and two Italian Super Cups with the club earlier this month. Milan Skriniar, the captain of Slovakia, has been confirmed to leave Inter Milan as a free agent in order to join Paris Saint-Germain, the Serie A club said on Friday. With Inter, who finished third in the Italian top division, Skriniar missed more than 20 games in all competitions during his most recent season due to injury.

“Six seasons full of victories and accomplishments: here ends Milan Skriniar’s adventure in the Inter shirt,” Inter said in a short statement.

Friday marks the end of Milan Skriniar’s Inter contract, at which point he will be free to join French champion PSG. Since March, Milan Skriniar hasn’t played for Inter, and the month after that he underwent spinal surgery. He missed an exciting conclusion to the year, which also included a win over AC Milan, a rival team from his hometown, in the semifinals of the Champions League.

At the beginning of the year, things had gotten tense between the player and the club. Inter failed to sell him to PSG during the January transfer window, and in February, after he declined to sign a new deal, they relieved him of his captaincy.
