(Football news) Erik ten Hag’s team led 2-0 after just 28 minutes thanks to two goals from Rasmus Hojlund. Rashford was sent off in the 42nd minute, and Copenhagen scored twice more before the first half ended, bringing the score to 2-2.

Three minutes remaining in regular time, 17-year-old Roony Bardghji gave the home team a stunning victory. Lukas Lerager tied the score at three points in the 83rd minute, but a penalty kick by Bruno Fernandes gave the Red Devils their lead back in the 69th.

In the other Group A match, Bayern defeated Galatasaray 2-0 to advance to the round of 16. Copenhagen is now in second place, while Man United is at the bottom of the section, one point behind second place ahead of a trip to Galatasaray at the end of November.

When McTominay kicked the ball against Maguire’s arm from close range in the first 20 minutes, Copenhagen yelled for a penalty, but VAR concurred and the referee seemed uninterested.

Three minutes into the match, Man United took the lead thanks to a deft pass from Aaron Wan-Bissaka that put Scott McTominay in a crossing position. The Scotland international then found Hojlund, who scored against his old team to give him four goals in this competition this season.

A placard reading “Your Theatre Of Nightmares” was held by Copenhagen supporters prior to kickoff. However, the Red Devils got off to a very strong start, and the hosts found it difficult to exert themselves in the same way as they had in the rematch at Old Trafford last month.

Alejandro Garnacho’s deft play almost set up another opportunity for the visitors in the twelfth minute, but the Argentina international’s cross was just too weak to find a teammate, and Red Devils goalkeeper Andre Onana then had to deny a weak effort from Rasmus Falk on the opposite end.

Raphael Varane, who is currently being strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford, took Jonny Evans’ spot in the middle of the defense when he hobbled off the field in the 14th minute due to a muscular issue. This was Evans’ first Champions League appearance since 2013.

A medical emergency among the spectators caused a brief pause in play, but the match soon resumed as Copenhagen began to display greater offensive quality, raising doubts about Man United’s full-backs.
