Manchester United face more 2 injury concerns

Following their respective forced out outs in international matches, Marcus Rashford and Andre Onana have raised two new injury worries for Manchester United
Manchester

(Football news) In the Three Lions’ 2-0 victory over Malta at Wembley, which Rashford started, the Three Lions were able to continue their unbeaten run in Euro 2024 qualifying thanks to goals from Harry Kane and an own goal by Enrico Pepe.

After being knocked down by England teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold, the Manchester United attacker was unable to finish the match. In an attempt to hold onto control in the 57th minute, Rashford and Alexander-Arnold unintentionally clashed as they ran towards the ball.

It was Rashford who was injured more severely and needed medical attention, even though both players went down after the collision.

The 26-year-old was unable to play on, therefore Cole Palmer, an attacker for Chelsea who was making his England debut off the bench, took his place. Before England travels to Skopje for their last Euro 2024 qualifying match against North Macedonia, Rashford will need to be evaluated.

Manager Erik ten Hag of Manchester United, who has started Rashford in 11 of the team’s 12 Premier League games this season, will be hoping it is only a knock. Apart from Rashford, Man United is also concerned about Onana’s availability after he was substituted during Cameroon’s 3-0 victory over Mauritius during World Cup qualifying.

In the 80th minute, Onana—who had returned from international retirement in September—was taken off the field with the assistance of Cameroonia’s medical personnel. Tuesday is Cameroon’s return to action against Libya; it is unclear if the goalkeeper will play.

The 27-year-old, who signed a summer transfer from Inter Milan, has started in all 18 of Man United’s competitive games this year and has established himself as the team’s starting goalkeeper.Ten Hag is already dealing with a long list of injured players, which includes Christian Eriksen, Rasmus Hojlund, Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, Jonny Evans, and Amad Diallo.

The Dutchman will want Rashford and Onana to be available for Manchester United’s November 26 Premier League matchup with Everton
