Manchester United and about their forward Jadon Sancho’s transfer

Jadon Sancho is supposedly close to signing a loan agreement with Juventus, although a late switch would require Manchester United to pay a portion of the attacker's wages

(Football news) Sancho was again left out of the Manchester United squad for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion, and he is expected to depart the Red Devils before the transfer window closes.

Barcelona have recently been credited with an interest in the ex-Manchester City youngster, but it is understood that Juventus are at the head of the queue for his signature.

Juventus are keen on Sancho, but the Old Lady are not in a position to take on his full £250,000-a-week pay packet.

As a result, Manchester United would allegedly have to be willing to cover part of his wages, and Juventus are hoping to make room in their budget by selling Federico Chiesa to Barcelona.

Juventus ‘need Manchester United to cover part of Sancho’s salary’

After being asked about his decision to leave Sancho out of the squad for Saturday’s game at Brighton, Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag said. “He’s here. I had a choice to make. We had some issues, we need a full squad.

“He’s one of them and he has to compete for his position and game to game we will have a look. But in the squad every position we need double because it’s going to be a long season.”

Sancho spent the second half of last season back on loan at Borussia Dortmund after a breakdown in his relationship with Ten Hag in the first half of the campaign.

The two individuals held clear-the-air talks at the start of the recent pre-season, with Sancho involved in Manchester United’s summer friendlies, and he then featured off the bench in the Community Shield against Man City on August 10.

Sancho is expected to leave Manchester United next week

However, Sancho has been left out of the squad for Manchester United’s two Premier League matches this season against Fulham and Brighton.

Paris Saint-Germain had allegedly been keen on Sancho, but the French club’s interest in the forward has cooled, with Juventus seemingly the only genuine contenders at this stage.

The Englishman arrived at Old Trafford from Dortmund in the summer of 2021, and he has made 83 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and registering six assists.

The 24-year-old has another two years left to run on his contract, with the option of a further 12 months, but a departure is best for all parties this summer.

Manchester United will continue their Premier League campaign against Liverpool next weekend, with the club looking to bounce back from their last-gasp loss to Brighton at the Amex.
