(Football news) Two goals by Alexis Mac Allister and an own goal by Bernd Leno gave Jurgen Klopp’s team the lead twice in the first half. However, bad defensive play by the hosts was punished by Harry Wilson and Kenny Tete.

After Bobby Decordova-Reid appeared to have done enough to end the Reds’ unbeaten run at Anfield, Wataru Endo and Trent Alexander-Arnold’s late goals completed a thrilling Liverpool comeback, sending Marco Silva’s stunned team home empty-handed.

After their Europa League victory against LASK Linz, Klopp stuck with his starting lineup, which left few shocks. Fulham manager Silva, on the other hand, oddly benched Willian in favor of Harry Wilson, an ex-Liverpool player, despite the Brazilian’s brace against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Five minutes before the offside flag denied Mohamed Salah his historic 150th Premier League goal, Leno had to get his hands muddy in just three minutes after he did a great job stopping a drive from Luis Diaz.

Leno was left in a heap on the ground by Diaz, the player who committed the offside offense, prior to Salah’s goal that was disallowed; nonetheless, the former Arsenal player was able to continue when the medical staff covered his head with a black bandage.

Leno continued playing despite having a swollen right eye, but in the 20th minute, Alexander-Arnold’s fierce free kick gave Liverpool a well-deserved lead. It rattled the bar and rebounded into the net through Leno’s back. There was nothing a sane goalie could have done about it.

Although Joao Palhinha was at fault for tripping Dominik Szoboszlai in Alexander-Arnold range, Silva’s bold choice to start Wilson over Willian was validated four minutes later, following the right-back’s incredible goal and Leno’s unlucky own goal.

Alex Iwobi and Antonee Robinson helped the Cottagers build up down the left, and it was Robinson’s low cross into the six-yard box that found a sprinting Wilson. Wilson ducked under Mac Allister’s close attention and pushed home through Caoimhin Kelleher’s knees at the near post.

Suddenly leading 1-0 at Anfield, Fulham was undone in the 39th minute by another outrageous attempt. Mac Allister, making up for his part in Wilson’s equalizer, latched onto Raul Jimenez’s misplaced header 30 yards from goal and struck an incredible thunderbolt into the top corner.
