Like a mathematician, Suryakumar Yadav analyses the cricket pitch: S Sreesanth

Mumbai Indians became the first team in TATA IPL history to successfully chase down 200 or more targets in back-to-back games

(Cricket news) The team captained by Rohit Sharma defeated Punjab Kings in Mohali by outrunning them by 215 and defeated Rajasthan Royals at home by outscoring them by 213 runs.

The five-time champions defeated Punjab Kings thanks to scorching half-centuries from Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav, two of their mainstays in the Indian batting order. Take us lightly at your own risk, MI warned the other teams in a warning message.

Against Punjab Kings, star MI batter Suryakumar Yadav kept up his signature Surya moves and thrilled the crowd with his 360-degree swings.

Former Indian cricketer S Sreesanth praised SKY as the best T20I batter in the world and compared him to a mathematician for his capacity to identify gaps.

Speaking on Star Sports’ Cricket Live, Sreesanth said, “SKY isn’t just a batter, he’s a mathematician. The way he carries himself is simply superb. He dissects the field like a mathematician uses a compass and a protractor on the paper. He makes those calculations brilliantly inside his sharp mind and makes full use of the dimension of the ground, the pace of the bowler, etc. He literally knows exactly where the fielder is and where the gaps are. He’s so precise. They say ‘sky is the limit’ but for Surya, even SKY is not the limit.”

Sreesanth continued by saying that MI have resumed their winning ways and that it will be challenging to halt their juggernaut from moving further in the TATA IPL 2023. Speaking on Star Sports’ Cricket Live, Sreesanth said, “Once Mumbai Indians taste victory, there’s no stopping them. They have a long history of success. They’ve done it in the past and can repeat it.”

Tom Moody, a former cricketer for Australia, commended Mumbai Indians for their bold strategy and back-to-back victories in run chases in the TATA IPL 2023. Ishan Kishan regaining his form, according to Moody, is a positive development for MI.

Speaking on Star Sports’ Cricket Live, Moody said, “Mumbai Indians have a very strong batting line-up, that is their strength. They are a fearless side in a run chase and they are proving it. The only missing piece in their batting was Ishan Kishan and his coming to form is a massive boost for MI.”
