(Cricket news) The Indian middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer is likely to be back in action on the field, post a brief time out from cricket. Iyer is set to feature for the Mumbai Ranji side in their upcoming Semi-final encounter starting 2nd March.

Their were reports, that he was struggling with a back issue and hence took a break, to focus on his fitness. Iyer did not play for the Mumbai side in their last league game, as well as the Quarter Finals of the Ranji Trophy. However the he is all set to feature in the Semi Finals.

Iyer has been short of runs in the longest format of the game and also struggled against England in the first two tests, post which he was not able to find a spot in the side for the rest of the three games. His presence for Mumbai will provide him with a great chance to be back amongst the runs.
