(Football news) Inter Milan won the home leg against Porto 1-0 thanks to substitute Romelu Lukaku’s late goal. Now they will be looking to seal their place in the quarter finals for the first time in 11 years. Inter Milan came into this game after a disappointing 2-1 loss away at Spezia. The Serie A title may be beyond the Nerazzurri right now as they are 18 points behind Napoli. Porto on the other hand won a hard fought game against Estoril on the weekend. A 1-0 lead is a very narrow advantage especially because Porto are playing the 2nd leg at home. The Estadio Do Dragao will definitely be loud which will make it more complicated for Inter Milan.

Inter Milan will be without Robin Gosens who is injured but Joaquin Correa is all set to return to the bench. Milan Skriniar who is struggling with a back problem is a doubt for the game. Samir Handanovic started the game against Spezia but Andre Onana is likely to return between the sticks for this game. Romelu Lukaku played 90 minutes on the weekend so there is a chance that he starts on the bench due to fitness reasons. In that case Edin Dzeko will start up front with Lautaro Martinez. Simone Inzaghi will have to choose 3 of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Nicola Barella, Marcelo Brozovic and Hakan Calhanoglu which is a difficult decision.

As for Porto, Otavio who got sent off in the last game will be a massive miss. Stephen Eustáquio suffered an injury on the weekend but he is likely to be fit enough to at least make the bench. Evanilson is still out of contention due to a thigh injury. Pepe will be the key man to keep the Inter strikers at bay. Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi has already scored 13 goals this season and if Porto are to score then he is the most likely source.
