India’s squad for the last three tests announced

(Cricket news) The much awaited Indian squad for the final three tests has been finally announced after a lot of delays. Kl Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja has been named in the squad, however their availability will be based on their fitness before the game. Both the players suffered with quadriceps and hamstring injuries respectively that kept them out of the Test in Visakhapatnam.

Star batter and former Indian captain Virat Kohli will miss the entire series due to personal reasons. His absence will be a major blow for the Indian side, given the lack of experience the side holds. Virat also missed the first two tests because of personal reasons.

India’s fast-bowling ace Mohammed Shami, who is out of action from the end of last year’s World Cup campaign continues to miss out from the squad. He is suffering an ankle injury and is yet to fully recover.

Shreyas Iyer after his poor run in Test cricket has been dropped from the side. Although their were reports suggesting that Iyer complained regarding a back issue and hence will miss the next game. As a result, both Rajat Patidar and Sarfaraz Khan have managed to retain their spots.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj, who was rested from the second Test in Visakhapatnam, has been recalled to the squad. While Mukesh Kumar has retained his spot, Avesh Khan has been released and Akash Deep has been added to the side as his replacement. Saurabh Kumar the left-arm sppinner has also been released from the squad.
