(Cricket news) India women will go head to head against hosts South Africa for the final of the tri series. India won 3 of their 4 matches in the series while the other one was a no result. The series is dress rehearsal for the T20 World Cup and India women have done really well. Winning the final would be the perfect way to go into the World Cup while a loss could be a massive shot to their confidence. The team seems to have gotten used to the conditions and it is all looking good as of now. It will only get better when Under 19 World Cup winners Shafali Verma and Richa Ghosh join the squad.

India women possible playing XI:

Jemimah Rodrigues, Smriti Mandhana, Harleen Deol, Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Yastika Bhatia (wk), Devika Vaidya, Deepti Sharma, Pooja Vastrakar, Shikha Pandey, Renuka Thakur Singh, Rajeshwari Gayakwad

Bench: Amanjot Kaur, Sushma Verma, Sneh Rana, Sabbhineni Meghana, Meghna Singh, Radha Yadav, Anjali Sarvani

India women are likely to retain the same team for this match. The bowling attack looks to be pretty balanced. Shikha Pandey is yet to pick up a wicket in two matches since her international return but India should definitely keep faith in her as her experience and skill set would come good eventually. Jemimah Rodrigues has definitely earned her spot as an opener after the last game which means Yastika Bhatia would have to bat in the middle order. Pooja Vastrakar had a very successful return in the last game and she will be looking to continue.

South Africa women possible playing XI:

Laura Wolvaardt, Tazmin Brits, Marizanne Kapp, Sune Luus (c), Chloe Tryon, Annerie Dercksen, Nadine de Klerk, Sinalo Jafta (wk), Tumi Sekhukhune, Shabnim Ismail, Nonkululeko Mlaba

Bench: Masabata Klaas, Ayabonga Khaka, Lara Goodall, Anneke Bosch, Delmi Tucker, Tebogo Macheke

Shabnim Ismail is yet to bowl in this series and she will be a massive threat to India women. The opening partnership between Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin will be extremely crucial for South Africa. The biggest test for South Africa would be the powerplay while batting. India have 2 brilliant new ball seam bowlers in Shikha Pandey and Renuka Thakur while Deepti Sharma is also lethal in the powerplay.
