(Sports News) In a thrilling final, the Indian men’s kabaddi team triumphed over Iran with a score of 42-32 to successfully defend their Asian Championships title. The match took place on Friday and marked India’s eighth victory in the continental championships.

Despite Iran’s aggressive start, the away team displayed exceptional skills and determination. Captain Pawan Sehrawat played a pivotal role in securing an early advantage for his team by earning two touch points, leading to the first All-Out and granting his team a commanding 10-4 lead.

Continuously exerting pressure on the Iranian team, the away team managed to execute another successful All-Out. By halftime, Bharat had established a significant lead, with the score standing at 23-11 in their favor.

Despite the efforts of Iranian all-rounder Mohammadreza Chiyaneh to rally his team and initiate a comeback, their hopes were thwarted as they suffered yet another All-Out, falling further behind with a score of 14-33. Throughout the match, India maintained their dominance and control, firmly sealing the victory.

Well played, boys.” The tweet expressed praise for the Indian team’s collective effort and acknowledged their commendable display on the kabaddi court.
