India should expect Australia to come back all guns blazing in the 2nd Test

Despite a dominant win in the 1st Test, India shouldn't underestimate this Australian side just yet
Australia

(Cricket news) India completely demolished Australia in Nagpur to go 1-0 up in the series. A win by an innings and 132 runs is a massive confidence booster for India but the men in blue will definitely be expecting the visitors to come back stronger. Australia had a lot of problems but they are too good a side to crumble this early into the series. They will be boosted by the return of Mitchell Starc who will walk straight into the team. Starc will definitely add much needed firepower in the bowling department. Cameron Green is likely to be fit and will come into the side.

Left arm spinner Matt Kuhnemann replaces Mitchell Swepson who has returned to Australia for the birth of his child. There has been a lot of talk about Travis Head’s omission from the side in the first Test but he could make his way back into the side. According to reports David Warner could be dropped from the side which will be a massive call. Warner hasn’t been consistent in Tests for a while now and his record in India isn’t that good either. The axing of Warner will see Matt Renshaw opening the batting with Travis Head in the middle order.

With these anticipated changes Australia will be a better team and India will definitely be aware of their qualities. In the last Border-Gavaskar in 2020, India were famously bowled out for 36 but the men in blue came back to win the series. Even against England in the series after that India lost the 1st Test convincingly but then came back to win the series 3-1. Australia definitely has the quality to come back and they just need to change their approach a bit. Nathan Lyon was pretty ordinary with the ball and once he starts playing to his potential it will be a big problem for the home side.
