(Cricket news) After losing the first two T20Is against South Africa, India were 1 loss away from losing the series. The men in blue did manage to save the series with a convincing win in the 3rd T20I. Now they have a chance to level the series with a win in the 4th T20I at Rajkot. Nothing changes for South Africa as they still need a win to seal the series. Either way it promises to be a hard fought encounter which will determine whether the next match in Bangalore is just a consolation or a series decider.
India's possible playing XI:
Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel, Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Avesh Khan, Yuzvendra Chahal.
Bench: Deepak Hooda, Venkatesh Iyer, Umran Malik, Arshdeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi.
India has stuck with the same line-up for all 3 matches and there is no reason why they will make a change now. The combination turned out to be good in the last match for India and it looks like the team is working in tandem. There will be a lot of pressure on Rishabh Pant as a captain and as a batter. Pant hasn't had a lot of success with the willow in this format and he won't find a better match to prove his worth.
South Africa possible playing XI:
Temba Bavuma, Quinton de Kock, Dwaine Pretorius, Rassie van der Dussen, David Miller, Heinrich Klaasen, Wayne Parnell, Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj, Tabraiz Shamsi, Anrich Nortje.
Bench:, Lungi Ngidi, Reeza Hendricks, Marco Jansen, Tristan Stubbs.
Aiden Markaram has gone back to South Africa after being ruled out of the series. Quinton de Kock is back in contention after recovering from injury and should be back in place of Reeza Hendricks. The Proteas don't have a reason to make any other changes in the side. Playing Marco Jansen instead of Wayne Parnell may be the only other change on the cards.
The pitch in Rajkot is really good for batting and the match is likely to be high scoring. The powerplay is going to be extremely crucial for both the teams in each innings. Nortje and Rabada haven't been at their very best in the series so far and it is important for South Africa that they do start contributing more.
