(Football news) After his semi successful loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur last season, Gareth Bale returned to Real Madrid. Returning Manager Carlo Ancelotti decided to give Bale a chance in the side as he started the Welshman in Real Madrid's first 3 La Liga games. Bale played really well and even got himself a goal.
In the World Cup qualifiers he scored a hat-trick to seal a very crucial victory 3-2 for Wales against Belarus. He played the full 90 minutes in the very next game which was a 0-0 draw against Estonia but returned to Madrid with a hamstring injury. Gareth Bale has finally returned to full training after a 2 month absence. Real Madrid's next game is at the Bernabeu against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday where Ancelotti might not want to risk Bale. Wales have two very important World Cup qualifiers against Belarus and Belgium on 14th and 17th November and Bale will definitely play most if not all minutes in those games. Therefore giving Bale minutes against Rayo will not be in his best interest.
At Real Madrid, Gareth Bale is like a hero turned villain. Los Blancos broke the world transfer record to bring Bale from Tottenham Hotspur. He went on to achieve incredible feats with them and formed a deadly attacking trio with Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo. Since 2018 Bale's Real Madrid career has had ups and downs, mostly the latter. Injuries and inconsistency have heavily affected that but his off field antics are also the reason. Bad attitude along with him waving a flag that said 'Wales, Golf, Madrid, in that order' which suggested that Real Madrid was never his priority. Bale never apologized for it and eventually signed for Tottenham on loan.

Now in the final year of his contract it is almost certain that Bale will not stay at Real Madrid after this season. Real Madrid don't have a nailed on right winger in the side and if the Welsh Wizard does manage to stay fit and get in some decent performances he could leave the Bernabeu on a high. There have also been rumours that Bale is planning to retire from football after the World Cup. His illustrious career at Real Madrid certainly deserves a grand ending. Real Madrid, Gareth Bale and the fans will all be hoping that Bale does well in whatever is left of his Real Madrid career.
