Everton hijack Donny Van de Beek from the jaws of Crystal Palace

(Football news) Donny Van de Beek is all set to be announcedset to be announced as a new Everton player on loan from Manchester United till the end of the season. New manager Frank Lampard is said to have played a massive role in Van de Beek choosing Everton instead of Crystal Palace.

Palace manager Pattrick Vieira was pushing really hard to get Van de Beek but after Everton appointed Frank Lampard as their manager one of the first things Lampard did was ask for Van de Beek. The arrivals of both Lampard and Van de Beek haven't been officially announced yet. Everton are likely to announce it on the stroke of deadline. Everton will cover the players wages and also pay a loan fee to Manchester United. At this moment there the Merseyside club don't have an option to make the deal permanent.

Van de Beek has shown his talent at Ajax by performing on the big European games and with the Dutch national team but ever since his move to Manchester United he has struggled to break into the team. A change in manager hasn't really changed that. Van de Beek needs this move to get his career back on track. He is still only 24 years of age and has a lot of football left in him. Frank Lampard has made a lot of young players like Reece James and Mason Mount into world beaters. Van de Beek needs to be backed by the manager and the only way to restore his confidence is by giving him regular game time.

Everton are struggling at 16th in the Premier League table. Van de Beek's creativity and work rate is something which Everton needs and if Lampard manages to get the best out of him then he will take Everton out of the relegation battle in no time. Manchester United will also be hoping that the new manager that comes in next season will have a better and more confident Van de Beek available as he will return to Old Trafford. It has been a frustrating year or so for the Dutchman and his future could be determined by these next 6 months at Goodison Park.
