Bayern Munich Eye Nico Williams

The present forward for Athletic Club, Nico Williams, is the target of Bayern Munich, according to reports from sources.  The 22-year-old player, who was instrumental in his country’s win at the European Championship, has a €58 million release clause.  This amount is negotiable by the Bavarian club.

Bayern’s problems go beyond money; they also have to contend with FC Barcelona, who are keeping a careful eye on the young striker.  In order to discourage any quick departures, Athletic Club is also considering increasing Williams’ release clause.

In other developments, Harry Kane, a mainstay of the team, talked about the forthcoming match against Boca Juniors in the Club World Cup group stage, calling it a top-tier contest.  The English forward highlighted the importance of the match in remarks made public by FIFA, saying, “It will be one of the most important matches of the group stage and the entire tournament.”

The former Tottenham player valued the chance to play against teams from different continents as well.  “Playing against opponents from other locations is an amazing experience.  It’s interesting to experience different environments and obstacles, even though we’re accustomed to competing in Europe,” he said.

The prolific striker emphasized the development of football in the United States, which will host the tournament, in reference to the location.  “We’ll be able to get to know some venues by competing there, a year before the World Cup.  It will be thrilling to see the top teams play, and football is still growing,” Kane said.
