England Women secure multi-format series win against South Africa

(Cricket news) Katherine Brunt recorded her best IT20 figures and Sophia Dunkley made 59 as England Women won the first Vitality IT20 at Essex to confirm victory in the multi-format series against South Africa. Brunt’s masterful 4-15 rolled back the years and restricted the visitors to 111-9. Dunkley – in a new role opening the innings – continued her fine summer to make 59 from 39 balls and help England chase the total down with five overs to spare. England’s six-wicket win takes them to 10-2 in the multi-format series and confirms their victory. The next IT20 is at Worcester on Saturday.
