(Cricket news) PBKS defeated LSG by two wickets in an exciting match in Lucknow when these two teams last faced off. When facing his previous team, LSG skipper KL Rahul will be thinking about getting revenge.

The young Sam Curran led Punjab in the previous four games in place of usual captain Shikhar Dhawan, and former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh was impressed.

Harbhajan Singh commented on Star Sports’ Cricket Live, “Sam Curran has handled the captaincy well in Shikhar’s absence. Along with the ball, he also looked impressive with the bat. The Punjab team looks strong because of players like Sam Curran.”

Rajasthan Royals trounced the MS Dhoni-led team for the second time in the competition on Thursday, continuing their unbeaten streak against Chennai Super Kings, and moved to the top of the TATA IPL points table.

A large total was reached by RR thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal’s blazing first-innings performance, and afterwards, Royals skipper Sanju Samson used the three spinners to the fullest advantage, strangling the opposing batters in the run chase to defeat Super Kings by 32 runs.

Irfan Pathan, a former cricketer for India, praised Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson for their outstanding performances and noted that defeating CSK twice in the TATA IPL is no little accomplishment.

Irfan Pathan stated on Star Sports’ Cricket Live,  “Yashasvi Jaiswal’s batting and Sanju Samson’s captaincy have taken RR to the top. Samson deserves all the praise. It is not easy to beat a strong team like CSK twice in a season, but Sanju achieved a 2-0 score against this side on the basis of tremendous preparation and excellent strategy.”

Ravi Shastri, a former cricketer for India, praised Samson for his maturity and praised the manner he rotated his spinners against a strong CSK batting lineup.

Ravi Shastri stated on Star Sports’ Cricket Live,  “Sanju Samson has matured as a captain. He uses his spinners very well. Only a good captain can play with three spinners and use them smartly.”
