Dembele Out of PSG’s CWC Opener

PSG’s French forward Usman Dembele will miss the first encounter of the club’s FIFA Club World Cup campaign due to injury, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Frenchman will miss his match against Atlético Madrid on June 15.  Dembele is recovering from a quadriceps injury in his left leg, which might take up to three weeks.

Dembele has been in excellent form throughout the 2024/2025 club season, scoring 33 goals and giving 15 assists in 49 games.

PSG will compete in Group B of the Club World Cup, along with Atlético Madrid (Spain), Botafogo (Brazil), and Seattle Sounders (USA).
