Sky Launch Youth Camps with Reese

Despite a difficult season thus far, the Chicago Sky continue to excite NBA fans, thanks in large part to the exceptional play of All-Star forward Angel Reese in her second season.  The team’s dedication to growing the game has taken a new turn with the opening of kids basketball camps this summer.

In collaboration with Nike, the Chicago Sky are providing young players with an exciting opportunity to improve their basketball talents through a series of co-ed camps.  Registration for these programs began on Monday with the Chicago Sky Foundation.

The camps, which run from June to August, are open to children aged seven to fifteen.  They emphasize strength and conditioning, teamwork, and fundamental basketball abilities.  Former NBA player Awvee Storey, who formerly served as the Sky’s Director of Basketball Strategy and Personnel, will oversee the camps, providing significant experience for the young participants.

On the court, the Sky recently defeated the Connecticut Sun, 78-66.  This was their first win in four games, and Angel Reese delivered a remarkable performance, scoring 11 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists.
