Bayern Munich’s first bid for Harry Kane worth €70M has been turned down by Tottenham Hotspur

Bayern Munich have entered the race to sign Harry Kane but the negotiations with Daniel Levy will not be easy
Bayern Munich

(Football news) Last year Bayern Munich sold Robert Lewandowski and haven’t really replaced him yet. They desperately need a striker and the Bavarian club has set its sights on Harry Kane. Bayern Munich had reportedly bid €70M for the English striker but Tottenham Hotspur instantly rejected it. It is no secret that Daniel Levy is the toughest negotiator in the business. In fact, Real Madrid cooled down their interest in Kane just to avoid the headache that Levy causes like he previously did with Luka Modric and Gareth Bale deals.

Out of everyone on the market, Kane is possibly the best option for Bayern Munich but he won’t come cheap. The striker has only one year left on his contract so there is a chance that he stays another year and leaves for free next season. This is one of those deals that are likely to go on till the very end of the window.

Bayern Munich will definitely not be too focused on Kane and will be looking at other options as well. As far as Kane is concerned, it isn’t as easy a decision as it may seem. To have a chance of winning a trophy Bayern Munich will be the perfect place to go, especially at this point in his career at the age of 29.

However, Harry Kane has a big reason to stay in the Premier League because he is close to becoming the all-time top goalscorer in Premier League history. Currently, Alan Shearer is leading the chart with 260 goals while Kane is just behind 213. If Kane stays in England for the rest of his career, he is bound to break the record quite comfortably.

If Bayern Munich do manage to reach an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur then Kane will have a very tough decision to make. At this moment a move to Manchester United is not looking likely, especially because United don’t have much money to spare.
