(Tennis news) The Manchester United Football Club will apply to process the 27-year-old’s visa in order for him to travel with the team on their preseason tour of the United States.

After failing to reach an extension agreement with David de Gea, Man United parted ways with him, and manager Erik ten Hag is now able to find a goaltender that fits his playing style. One of the best ball-players in the world, Onana was even more at ease with the ball against Manchester City in the Champions League final than Brazilian custodian Ederson.

Although Inter initially rejected two offers from Manchester United for the former Ajax star worth £51 million, it now seems that their demands have been met.

Uncertainty surrounds the timing of the official announcement, which may occur tomorrow or on Tuesday. Following the earlier addition of England international midfielder Mason Mount from Chelsea for £55 million, Onana will be the club’s second summer signing.

According to sources who spoke to ESPN, Dean Henderson will be given permission to move to Nottingham Forest permanently after Onana becomes a United player.

Henderson spent the last campaign on loan at Forest, and despite returning to Carrington for the start of preseason practise, he is anticipated to complete a £20 million transfer to the City Ground.

After midfielder Mason Mount from Chelsea, Onana will be United’s second summer acquisition. The two previously worked with one other at Ajax Amsterdam. De Gea, who departed Old Trafford on a free transfer after spending 12 years with the team, will be replaced by him.

Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta is on the Red Devils’ radar as a potential striker, but the Serie A club’s asking price of £86 million makes a deal challenging.
