(Football News) Ancelotti’s Real Madrid have officially eliminated the possibility of securing the signing of Kylian Mbappe before the impending closure of the transfer window next week, as indicated by manager Carlo Ancelotti during a statement on Thursday. This declaration comes amidst ongoing speculation linking the Paris St Germain forward with a move to the LaLiga club.

Ancelotti supplemented this statement by indicating that it’s unlikely for Real Madrid to engage in any further transfer dealings within the current window, which is slated to conclude on September 1.

When probed about the potential acquisition of France’s accomplished striker Mbappe, Ancelotti informed reporters, “No, I rule it out 100%. I think our squad is closed and our players are concentrating on our season.”

Although the transfer window remains open in Saudi Arabia beyond September 1, providing the opportunity for Gulf nation clubs to potentially acquire Europe’s top talents, Ancelotti expressed minimal concern regarding this possibility. “Someone may change their mind, but I am not apprehensive about that,” he further stated in advance of Real Madrid’s forthcoming LaLiga fixture against Celta Vigo on Friday.

Amidst speculation arising from midfielder Luka Modric’s absence in the starting lineup for Real Madrid’s initial two league matches, there have been suggestions that the Croatian player might be discontented with the situation. However, this assumption has been dismissed by Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti clarified, “Luka has already outlined his future. He’s not encountering any issues, and he will contribute as he always has.” The manager emphasized that while it might feel unusual for Modric not to be included in the starting lineup from the onset, he is poised to make his customary contributions to the team.

Regarding the goalkeeping position, Ancelotti revealed that the recently acquired Kepa Arrizabalaga, who joined on loan from Chelsea, is set to make his debut in Real Madrid’s first home league match of the season. The goalkeeping responsibilities had been shouldered by Andriy Lunin in the opening two victories of the campaign, given that Thibaut Courtois underwent surgery due to a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee.
